Excuse the Mess

I was watching Trey draw a picture this afternoon when I noticed him covering the top part of his paper with dots. Just out of curiosity, I asked, “Trey, what are those?” He answered, “Mommy, those are fyeckles in the sky!” :)

Just thought I would share a couple of the flattering comments I have received from my sweet little Trey this week. For anyone who hasn’t already noticed, my baby bump has been growing quite rapidly. :) I finally broke down and started wearing maternity clothes this week! Well, Trey has been especially interested in people’s sizes lately…an interest which can sometimes lead to some very unusual conversations. ;) Anyway, a couple of days ago, he asked me, just out of the blue, “Mommy? Um…are you gettin’ fat?” Nice. :) (more…)

Addison has been growing up so fast in these last few weeks. I just stopped to think about it today, and it almost seems like she’s grown two or three months worth in a couple of days!

I was at Mom and Dad’s this evening, and had just finished dressing the kids for Mission’s Conference, when I took a second of Mommy-time to have a short conversation with my brother Steven. :) I was still listening for the kids, but they seemed to be getting along and enjoying themselves…after all, Mommies know all the tell-tale danger sounds! ;) Riiight… (more…)

Here are some pictures of Trey and Addy’s first real snowman. This is the first time they’ve actually helped build one anyway. :) He’s a little on the smaller side as the snow was very “powdery” and we had to use a spray bottle to make it stick. ;) Addison enjoyed “helping” until she got some snow on her skin…then it was time to go inside! Most of my favorite talks with Trey happen either at bed-time, or nap-time. :) Funny, but it’s always during these quiet cuddle times that he just seems to open up his little heart and tell Mommy anything and everything that’s been on his little mind. (more…)
