Yesterday evening, in our way to church, we stopped by my favorite little consignment store (ouac.com ;) ) to pick up the rest of my items that were finished being processed. I saw a really cute little shirt and vest for Trey that I just couldn’t pass up…especially since I was getting store credit. ;)
…And then there was a little pair of shoes for Addy…Oh well, so much for making money, right? They were all things that were needed though, especially considering that I just washed an entire load of the kid’s good clothes with a bright blue crayon in a certain someone’s little pocket. :D Oops! I hadn’t realized that my kids are now old enough for me to have to check pockets – lesson learned though!
When I got in the car and Trey saw the shirt, he said, “You buy a shirt for me, Mommy?” I smiled and told him that, yes – it was for him, then passed everything back to let them both take a look.
Wes and I were busy talking, not paying much attention to what was going on in the back seat. That’s when we heard something precious…Trey had his little head bowed, and was saying with such natural childlike sincerity, “Jesus, tank you for my new shirt.” Almost brought tears to my eyes, as I thought about the tenderness of a child’s heart.
Of course, when Addison saw that Trey had prayed for his shirt, she quickly followed suit. ;) She looked down at her little shoes and jabbered something, that I’m sure only God understood, then said, “Ah-MEN!”
That is soo cute!!!
Absolutely precious! I’m so glad they have you two to learn from!
How beautiful! And Addy- how funny!!
