Trey and I have been reading a favorite book of his over and over in the last few days. It’s called “The Snowy Day”. Earlier last week, Trey decided that he would like to have some snow of his own to play in. I told him that God makes the snow, so maybe he should talk to God about it. :)
Well, Saturday morning we woke up to flurries! I turned on the radio, and the forecast called for a rain/snow mix. It had already been raining a lot, and since I was pretty sure it wouldn’t stick, I ran to show Trey before it stopped.
Trey was thrilled! He had me stand him up on the window ledge so he could watch it fall. That’s when I heard the radio announcer say “Well, they’ve just changed their minds! ‘Looks like we’ll be getting 2-4 inches!” :)
After Christmas play practice that afternoon, we bundled up and headed to Grandma’s to play in the snow! Wes and I were having our own conversation in the front of the car when we heard Trey’s little voice in the back saying “God, thank you for my snow!” Wes said, “Trey, did you ask God to send some snow?” Trey giggled, then said with a smile, “Yeah.”

Admiring his gift from God. :)

“Eating the snow” probably Trey’s favorite thing to do with it. :)

Making tracks like Peter (from the book). :)

How wonderful and beautiful… both to see God care and answer a little guy’s prayer, and also to see a little guy recognize it on his own.
Thank you, Steven. You have no idea what an encouragement you are to Wes and I as parents. Your understanding and positive outlook are a constant blessing to me.
This makes me want to cry!!! That is so sweet for him to already be seeing God answer his prayers. Miss you guys and I cant wait to see you next week.
Aww, thanks Ash! It did me too! :)
Oops! Somehow I didn’t see the end of this! We can’t wait to see you all either!! Trey is very excited!! :)
Awwww…that is great! I am glad there was enough to have some fun in before it melted!
So precious! God is good! It might be interesting to see a book published with God’s answers to kids prayers.
