Cute Saying #8

Friday, February 19th, 2010

Trey was looking through the fridge for a snack yesterday, when he picked up a package of hot-dogs. I asked, “Do you want a hot-dog?” Trey said, “Well, not weally. How about a cold-dog though?” ;)

Ready For Some REAL Toys!

Monday, February 15th, 2010

Trey has been very interested in baseball lately, and a few weeks ago, started asking, “Mommy, do you sink maybe Daddy would buy Twey a baseball?” We’ve been learning that things are much more appreciated (and played with) if they’re wanted for a little while before they’re gotten. ;) So, we talked to him about “saving his dollars”, and finally (special thanks to Pop-Pop ;) ) had enough dollars saved for his very special, and very longed for, baseball!

Take It From A Three Year Old ;)

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

Just thought I would share a couple of the flattering comments I have received from my sweet little Trey this week. For anyone who hasn’t already noticed, my baby bump has been growing quite rapidly. :) I finally broke down and started wearing maternity clothes this week! Well, Trey has been especially interested in people’s sizes lately…an interest which can sometimes lead to some very unusual conversations. ;) Anyway, a couple of days ago, he asked me, just out of the blue, “Mommy? Um…are you gettin’ fat?” Nice. :) (more…)

Yes, I Skipped Church

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

I was at Mom and Dad’s this evening, and had just finished dressing the kids for Mission’s Conference, when I took a second of Mommy-time to have a short conversation with my brother Steven. :) I was still listening for the kids, but they seemed to be getting along and enjoying themselves…after all, Mommies know all the tell-tale danger sounds! ;) Riiight… (more…)

Juice Or Milk?

Tuesday, December 15th, 2009

Wes has been working a lot of nights lately, and Trey has kind of had a hard time getting used to Daddy not being home at bedtime. A few mights ago, Daddy was working the night shift again, and Addy had already gone to bed, when Trey started feeling upset about Daddy leaving. (more…)

Mommy’s “Boy Toes”

Monday, December 7th, 2009

Earlier this morning, I was in the kitchen after having half-way removed my toe-nail polish. :) I hadn’t found the time yet to finish and redo it (can’t imagine why not!). ;) Trey walked by, then stopped and got down on the floor to inspect my poor toes. He shook his his disapprovingly and said, “Ohhh no, Mommy. You’re havin’ boy toes!” Then he added “That is not good. They’re ‘u-posed to be pink!” :)

Big Boy Church, Baby Wipes & A Red Face

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

A few months ago, we started letting Trey sit in “big boy” church with Daddy and Mommy. We decided to make his first service a special event by going shopping beforehand for “big boy” supplies. :) We picked out a little notebook, some cool markers that change colors and got his little new testament out for him to carry. Then we packed everything in his back-pack and set it out for church. Trey seemed to be happy about the idea, and really did surprisingly well…uh, especially after the first two or three services. ;)

A Bed-time Snack To Share

Friday, November 13th, 2009

Last night, Trey and I were watching a movie together, when we decided we were hungry. :) I went in the kitchen to pour a bowl of cereal for the two of us to share. I thought it would be fun…but probably mainly did it with the motive of saving on messes. :)

Cute Saying #5

Saturday, October 17th, 2009

We were all sitting down to watch a video a few nights ago, we Addy plopped down in her Daddy’s lap and said, “Hey Pop!” :) We all had a good laugh…especially because we have no idea where she got that one! :)

Cute Saying #3

Wednesday, August 19th, 2009

Addison Lee, while eating some of her favorite veggies: “Mmmmm, yuck!” :) We’ll have to work on the difference between Yum and Yuck. ;)
