The Guynn Family

Independence Day!

Thought I would share a few pics and special memories from our 4th of July Holiday! Also, we recently kidnapped Timothy ( ;) ), and are loving having him with us for a couple of weeks!

Spent the first part of our day at home, then went to Papaw and Grandma Guynn’s for burgers and swimming. :)independence-day-2009-088

Then we went to Shaw and Heather’s for a cookout and some fireworks. The kids loved getting to run and play as much as they wanted without having to watch out for the street. :)

And the men (still boys at heart I think ;) ) decided to climb a huge tree! We girls were all inside, when we looked out the window and saw all of our husbands in a tree…all in the same tree!

Then two of them…hmmm…decided not to come down the way they went up. Crazy boys -they scared us all to death! They did finally make it down though, much to our relief.

Trey tried so hard to be brave and stay outside! He closed his little eyes as tightly as he could, held his hands over his ears and said in a worried tone, “Duys? Watch out! Watch out duys!” Then he looked up at me and said, “I doe inside Mommy!” So, we watched from behind the door. :)

And had a cupcake. ;) Trey looks a little more excited about this than he did about the fireworks!

  1. sounds like you all had a lot of fun :) Kenzi and Nathan were scared of the fireworks too, but there was no inside to run to for safety. When it was all over Kenzi looked up and said “thunder all over?”
Glad you had a good 4th and that you are getting to spend time with your baby bro. Thanks for sharing :)
