The Guynn Family

Pictures

Some pictures of the last two months…during which I have been quite busy and failed to blog, even once. :P

A few shots from our 6th anniversary weekend getaway. I am so lucky to have such a sweet, thoughtful man! (…pretty handsome, too!) ;)

I ♥ him.

We went for a walk Saturday morning. It was chilly and a little drizzly, so we visited lots of little shops. ;) It was nice to be able to have some quiet time to reflect on the last six years. They’ve gone by so quickly! I am thankful for each of those years…each one different and unique…full of blessings, changes, new experiences, and many valuable lessons. I am so grateful that God has allowed us to go through them together. ♥

We stopped in the Peeps store to get some little gifts for the kids…who, by the end of our mini vacation, we both admitted we were really missing! ;) We had a wonderful time together alone, but when our weekend was finished, neither of us could hide the fact that we couldn’t wait to get home and see our three favorite little people!

While in the Peeps store, we decided that it would be much more fun for the kids to each open their own individual bags, even though the gifts were quite small and could’ve easily fit in, well, half a bag. So I asked for three…and wasn’t the least bit embarrassed when the sales clerk looked at me rather  strangely – a point which I think must mean that I have arrived at that dreaded stage of mommy-hood where you begin to do somewhat unusual and embarrassing things. But I didn’t feel embarrassed ( ;) ), so while he looked at me, I just smiled at him. And when he realized that I was indeed serious, and that they were for my kids, he kind of grinned and kindly asked which gifts were for which child, then carefully arranged them for me. :)

That man – he’s the love of my life.

It was a perfect way to celebrate our six years of marriage. Every year together is somehow even better than the year before. I am one blessed girl.

During this month, we also enjoyed a wonderful visit from Steven and Anna! What a wonderful time of fellowship and encouragement. Anna and I got to share many good long talks. She is such an inspiration to me.

Here’s a picture that I love. :) Trey found a pair of his Daddy’s  socks. I didn’t notice until he stepped up on this chair – and I happened to have camera in hand!

I recently took Trey out for an afternoon just to spend some one on one time.  We went birthday shopping for Addison together. He was such a little man.

While we were riding in the car, I glanced back at him and said, “I’ve been wanting to go on a date with you for a while, bud  - I’m glad you came with me.” He said, “Me too.” I smiled…then he grinned and added with an ornery look, “it’s because I’ve really been wantin’ some yellow sprite!” Alright Trey. ;) He has quite the sense of humor for his four years.

In one particular store on our birthday shopping trip, he picked up a fly swatter and told me he thought he’d use his $2 for that – it would be the perfect birthday gift for his sister – after all, he reminded me with a mischievous giggle. – “Addy does hate bugs”.  :)

This picture makes me smile. To me, it almost lets you take a peek into this little girl’s sweet, thoughtful, caring heart.

A couple of nights ago, Addison looked up at the crescent moon and said, “Ohh look! Somebody taked a bite out of it!” She was as serious as a two year old has ever been. ;)

This is a shot from a recent trip to the National zoo with Uncle Steven and Aunt Anna.

And a few favorites from the park…

My little treasures

And I think that’s it for now…the last sick little one is finally asleep, and I believe it’s time for me to be, too. :)

P.S. Oops – that last little one woke up…and I left this sitting all night as Wes and I fell asleep while comforting the poor sick boy, and slept there beside him for the rest of the night! :)

Thank you so much Elisabeth. This is SO nice.
Not to be critical, but, the third picture from the bottom – is that water in the background? If so, the kids are a little close aren’t they?! :)
Love you all – and miss you!
