Top 10 Ways To Get Out Of Going To Bed

Here are the most famous lines at our house when bed-time rolls around. I think my kids could write a book on this topic…that is, when they learn to spell. ;)

1. “Duice”
2. “Milk”
3. “Wa-er” – if 1 & 2 don’t work.
4. “Eat”
5. “Potty!!”
6. “Movie”
7. “Day down on Daddy’s bed?”
8. “Day down on towch”
9. “Pay”
10. “Wead book”

I’m very used to hearing Trey use almost the whole list of these at bed-time…sometimes we go through the list more than once. :) But tonight, I was tucking sweet, innocent, tiny little Addy in bed, when she lifted her head up and turned to look at me as she said quietly, “Juice?”

I couldn’t believe it! She’s already learned! Wes just smiled and said, “Here we go.” :)

This one made me laugh out loud! We are still in this stage at our house only the list now includes: I have this web site I have to finish; I have to wash my face; I haven’t gotten my bath yet; I need to get a drink of water; I need to use the bathroom; can I finish this first?

  • Sam Kline

That’s funny…we have the same list!!

    :) Well, I guess it’s a pretty common problem. I don’t think I ever did that though…right Mom? ;)

Oh, that is so good! It must have been so funny to hear that come out of her mouth.

It was! Also pretty surprising, since I’m not used to hearing her talk yet!! :)

That is sooooo cute. We have a similar list….I have to go potty, mommy can you rub my back, will you lay with me, may I sleep in your bed, May I get a drink,…etc….that is cute!!!!!!
It is so hard not to give in…..Bekah…almost every night asks me to rub her back and lay with her. I most of the time give in and she is asleep in less than five minutes…and so is mommy..LOL.

That’s so funny, Jan! I know the feeling! Wes and I always try to take time together after the kids are in bed, but half the time we’re asleep by that time too!! :)
